I joined the teaching staff at Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine on April 1, 2002. Before coming to Obihiro, I taught at Tokyo Metropolitan University of Health Sciences for six years while finishing my Doctor of Health Science Degree at The University of Tokyo, Graduate School of Medicine, Department of Health Policy and Planning. I also have a Master degree (MBA) in international management and have taught in various countries throughout Asia including Indonesia, Taiwan, Thailand, Myanmar and Cambodia.
Presently, I am teaching current English I and II on health-related themes, specialized English, a debate class for the global
communications course, and graduate classes in western business management and food safety and policy. The current English classes are specifically designed for teaching English as a second language while teaching on current health topics and issues relevant
to each student’s respective field of study. All lectures are given in English and provide an excellent environment for listening to and speaking English while discussing a given subject.
