Field of expertise: Veterinary epidemiology and risk assessment
Areas of my research topics are veterinary epidemiology, veterinary communication, risk assessment, food safety at farm level, participatory research, international agricultural development and livestock development in Africa. At present, I have been involved in 1) “Establishment of livestock management systems for implementing farm-level food safety regulations in Japan”, 2) “Study of BSE risk and devising surveillance system in Hokkaido, Japan”, 3) “Study of factors inhibiting livestock development among small scale farmers in Kenya”, and 4) “Surveillance of zoonotic diseases in Thailand”.
